In their quest to conquer the European market, Infiniti released the first images and details of the new EX Compact Crossover, which is powered by their new 3.0 liter diesel engine. This car is in the same size as its main rival BMW X1, Mercedes GLK and Audi Q5, but Infiniti counts on its coupe-like design to sell, which is kinda nice when you realize that almost all the other choices are all box-shaped!
The new piezo-injection 3.0-liter V6 in this car develops 235 bhp and a big torque of 550 nm, which with the help of a 7-speed automatic transmission, enables the car to go form zero to 60mph in 7.9 seconds. That is acceptable performance and because it’s a diesel, it’ll be economic too.
The EX30d averages 33.6 mpg (combined) and has a Co2 rating of 224 g/km. The car goes on sale in the UK in summer, pricing is TBA.
